SAN ANTONIO, TX – A family in San Antonio is mourning over the loss of their loved one that died in a car crash where alcohol was to blame.
The deceased, Justin Lambaria, 26, was killed in a car crash after the vehicle he was a passenger in flipped into a creek on Shaenfield Road around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
Lambaria’s aunt, Rachel Camarano, said the news is still shocking and everyone in the family is trying to make sense of it all.
“He was taken so soon from all of us,” said Camarano. “We will love him and miss him.”
Camarano added that Lambaria leaves behind two children, which he loved very much.
“Justin was a very loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin,” said Camarano. “He was an absolutely wonderful father.”
The man driving the vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Jordan Lopez. He was transported to University Hospital and is expected to make a recovery.
Officials at the scene of the accident explain Lopez was driving a black Honda when he hit a concrete median, causing the car to drive off the roadway and eventually flip over into the creek. One of the officers said he smelled alcohol on Lopez’s breath at the scene.
Lopez has been charged with DUI manslaughter while at the hospital and his bond has been set at $50,000.
