Teenager succumbs to injuries after falling from a high swing
16 year old teenage girl from Florida was killed after a fall from a swing in a North Carolina youth camp. The deceased has been identified as Olivia Paige Grimes and witnesses say she fell from a height greater than a hundred feet, as reported by The Washington Post. Supposedly, she was on a gigantic swing when a part of the swing set got disconnected from the frame and caused the fall.
Investigators are trying to determine what exactly caused the freak accident, but they have confessed that they are pretty clueless at this point and will require more time to figure out what exactly transpired.
Apparently, two employees of the Youth Camp were even present supervising when out of nowhere Grimes fell from the sky. They attempted to revive her using cardiopulmonary resuscitation but their efforts were in vain and she was officially pronounced dead.
As investigations continue, all swing sets at the camp have been banned at least temporarily and will remain closed until authorities are able to determine what caused the accident and establish that there is no risk of something similar happening again.
So both ropes fell at the same time? That could be sabotage. Many people who did not see it are wondering if she had both hands on a rope? This is a tragedy and the family is going through some pain right now. They will need time to grieve.
