Fox 31 Denver reports that a 14-year-old girl was driving on Riverdale Road near Brighton when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road around 9:30 p.m. The car rolled down an embankment, coming to rest in a retention pool. The car landed on the roof.

The 14-year-old driving was killed. Her passengers, two 17-year-old men and a 30-year-old woman in the car at the time of the crash. They suffered only minor injuries.

Police said none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred.

Police have not determined if the 17-year-olds or the 30-year-old will face charges, according to the TV station.
