Fatal Accident West of Bancroft on Highway 51 Claims Two Lives
Two people were killed and two others were injured in a tragic accident that occurred on Highway 51, west of Bancroft, Wednesday morning, according to Cuming County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision, involving a White 2019 Dodge Caravan and a John Deere Tractor pulling a Roto-Mix Feed Wagon, happened just before 8:15 a.m. between 19th and 20th road.
The Dodge Caravan rear-ended the tractor, resulting in fatalities for both the driver and a passenger. The Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as 37-year-old Jamie Norton of Craig, and the passenger as 42-year-old Elizabeth Thomsen of Rosalie.
A second passenger in the Dodge Caravan, 26-year-old Rachel Robbins of Lyons, was taken to Pender Community Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the John Deere Tractor, 37-year-old Gregory Haase of Bancroft, was treated and released from Franciscan Healthcare in West Point.
