car accident and  wrecked car on the roadOrlando, FL- Three people are dead after a late night traffic collision which occurred Monday night in the Orlando area as police struggle to figure out what set off the deadly crash.
Police say that two women were traveling in the northbound lanes of Route 436 in Casselberry in a blue Volvo around when 1 a.m. The driver of the Volvo attempted to make a U-Turn at the intersection Winter Woods Boulevard when it was struck by a Volkswagen traveling southbound. The Volvo was broadsided on the passenger side, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
One of the women was ejected from the vehicle while the other woman has to be extricated. They were both taken to the hospital where they later died.
The driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead on the scene. Both cars were totaled.
Police are unsure who had the right or way, and are hoping surveillance footage from nearby business can give them some answers about the cause of the crash.
