Detroit, MI – Local authorities report a woman was killed in a recent accident that might have been a result of a combination of drunk driving and drag racing in Detroit.
According to WDIV Local 4, police believe that a drunk driver may have collided with a vehicle that was getting ready for a drag race on I-75. While Troy officers say that they are currently still looking into what may have caused the fatal accident in Detroit, they are focusing on finding out whether or not the drag race was put on hold by a drunk driver.
The news outlet reports that a red Ford F-150 rear-ended a 1984 Mazda RX-8, leaving it burned after a crash that happened this past Saturday night. At the time of the accident, there were two people riding inside the Mazda. The car abruptly went from driving at a normal speed to slowing down to a crawl; unfortunately, the vehicles driving behind them didn’t get the memo to slow down. The F-150 smashed right into the back of the Mazda while going full speed.
