Drunken drivers don’t think nor do they care that their actions can have devastating consequences for other motorists. That is why drunken drivers cause approximately one-third of all fatal traffic accidents in the U.S.  People under the influence of drugs or alcohol typically lack the ability to make sound decisions, but that doesn’t excuse their actions or allow them to shirk responsibility for the pain and suffering they cause.
