Head-on CrashSacramento County, CA- A head-on collision in Northern California last week left four people dead the two involved vehicles erupted in a blaze.
The Sacramento Bee reported that the accident occurred Christmas night as three cousins and two friends headed out to visit friends and family. At around 1:30 a.m. the Buick LeSabre, carrying the five passengers, veered into the path of an oncoming vehicle traveling on San Juan Avenue at Palm Avenue in Fair Oaks.
Upon impact both, vehicles erupted in a blaze. When emergency crews arrived, they found four people in the Buick dead. Witnesses at the scene were only able to pull two women out of the wreckage. One of them was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was flown to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of car that was stuck, a Subaru, also suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening, according to the Sacramento Bee.
