Florida Man Charged After Causing a Fatal Accident and Fleeing the Scene
A Florida man is facing criminal charges after he caused a fatal car crash in Jasper and fled the scene. WCTV reported that Korey Farley, 28, of Sanford, FL was driving a 2013 Kia Sorrento heading north on I-75 near mile marker 454 when he hit the rear of a 2001 Ford F-150. Inside that vehicle sat Joseph and Jane Ledlow. After Farley struck the back of the Ford, Joseph Ledlow, who was behind the wheel at the time, lost control of his vehicle and overturned in a ditch.
The source says that after the incident, Farley continued driving north on I-75 and was later found by Florida State Troopers at a gas station on SR-6. Medics transported Farley to an area hospital for treatment and he was later booked into the Columbia County Jail. Unfortunately, both Joseph and Jane died at the scene of the crash. Jane Ledlow was an employee at Tift County High School.
As for Farley, he has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death with additional charges pending against him.
