Dayton, OH- Any type of traffic has the potential to be deadly but head-collision happen to be one of the most deadly. The accident occurred on Sept. 10th in Clark County just west of New Carlisle. Police say that a man driving a pickup in the westbound lanes of U.S. 40 when he rear-ended a passenger vehicle. The impact of the crash sent the pickup careening into the eastbound lanes where it struck an oncoming SUV, according to WLWT.
The eastbound SUV was driven by Police Captain Steven Bucholtz of the Harveysburg Police Department. Bucholtz, 45, a 13-year veteran of the HPD, was off-duty at the time of the crash.
WLTW reports that driver of the truck was not injured and refused treatment on the scene. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was treated at local hospital.
