Accident case arbitration date scheduled for August
An auto-accident lawsuit is expected to undergo arbitration in the month of August even though the plaintiff has already received the financial sum that was being sought, as reported by pennrecord.com.
The case is between Deborah l. Johnson the plaintiff, and Donalyn Craig, the defendant in the case. Craig’s auto insurance company Erie Insurance of Media was instructed to pay a sum of $15,000 as economic damages to Johnson by the end of October. This ruling came on the 3rd of October after an initial hearing.
However, Erie Insurance of Media had not paid the amount forward to Johnson until the 12th of March. They claimed that they had not received a final approval letter from Medicare and that they were unable to process the payment until the letter was issued. They also stated that Johnson’s social security number on file was wrong, and that it needs to be corrected before the payment could be sent through.

However, Johnson’s accident attorney has now filed for further damages. The petition claims that the delay in processing the request has led to Johnson incurring mounting legal fees and ergo seeks to be compensated for this expense.
