Rollover Vehicle Accident at Busy Intersection With Emergency PeRockville, MD- A Rockville teen entered a guilty plea for causing a drunk driving accident that killed two of his friends last year.
WUSA9 reports that Sam Ellis pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter on Friday, April, 8 and is slated to be sentenced in June. Ellis faces up to ten years in jail for each count.
According to WUSA9, Ellis and two of his teenaged friends were returning home from an underage party when Ellis lost control of his car causing it to slam through a fence and into a tree. The car came to rest in the yard of a residential home after rolling over.
Two teenaged males, who were seated in the back of Ellis’ car were killed. Ellis and a fourth passenger each suffered serious injuries.
The family of one of the victims urged the court to give Ellis the maximum sentence the law allows.
