Lincoln, NE- Snow covered roads and high-winds are suspected causes of two fatal accidents occurring north of Lincoln on Sunday.
One of the accidents involved two passenger vehicles traveling in opposite directions on Nebraska 92 in Wahoo. KETV reports that the cars collided head-on collision which police suspects was due to low-visibility caused by blowing snow.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was killed. Both drivers were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment, KETV reported.
The other accident occurred on I-80 and left a truck driver from Illinois dead. According to KETV, the man’s tractor-trailer stalled on the freeway when another tractor-trailer slammed into his vehicle. The can of the hit truck was sheared off.
The diver, an Illinois native, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
