Staten Island, NY- Motorcyclists want nothing more than to get on their bikes and hit the road, giving little thought to the dangers they may face. Joseph Todisco probably wasn’t thinking about danger or risk Sunday evening when he took his dirt bike out for a ride in his Midland neighborhood
Staten Island Live reports that Todisco, 18, was at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Hylan Boulevard when he fell over and struck his head not too far from his the home he shared with his parents.
Todisco was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, Staten Island Live reported.
Police are not sure why Todisco lost control and fell though they do not suspect drugs or alcohol but noted that one of his friends removed the dirt bike from the scene of the accident.
In New York it is illegal to ride a dirt bike on surface streets and highways.
