We’ve all had days when we need to fight and resist the urge to punch a hole through the wall but teenager Mychal King did something absolutely outrageous and unacceptable.
He was only a 15 year old boy back in 2003 when King stabbed and murdered Jason Paul, someone he didn’t know nor had he ever seen before. Paul, 22 years of age at the time, was simply passing by on a bicycle having finished work for the day when he was assaulted and murdered by Mychal King with a knife. The incident occurred near Crest Lake Park in Clearwater.
During his trial, King hung his head in shame and shook it when asked if there was anything he wanted to say. His mother tried to pitch in for him arguing that he was not a bad person but was soon silenced by the many friends and family members of Jason Paul that were present in the court room.
Paul should be put in prison indefinitely
When detectives had apprehended King for his heinous act, he had told them that he had had a terrible day and was furious when he decided that he would kill the next person he saw, whoever it may be.
King pleaded guilty to all charges including first degree murder, sale of cocaine, and aggravated battery. His attorney said this showed he was taking responsibility for his utterly irrational and unreasonable burst of outrage. Unfortunately, his attorney cannot bring the dead back to life nor explain why someone would act this violent and immature.
The city of Clearwater and Florida Highway Patrol in soup after chase leads to fatal motorcycle crash
A lawsuit alleging a wrongful death has been filed by Clearwater accident attorneys against the city of Clearwater and the FHP (Florida Highway Patrol).
The Clearwater officials have said that they do not comment on pending public litigations but have also insisted that a chase was not initiated. However, in a contradicting action, the officials have reprimanded one police officer involved.
27 year old Keith Williamson was killed and his pillion Jenna E. Scott was injured when they crashed into a Florida Highway Patrol Car, supposedly, as a result of a police pursuit.
The officials have denied these allegations despite their existing dash cam recorded video evidence that shows a patrol car with sirens blazing tailing Williamsons motorcycle just seconds before the disaster.
Bus runs over 10 year old, boy dies
In a very sad and unfortunate incident that occurred in 2010, a 10 year old boy was run over by a Lynx transport bus and his brother escaped only narrowly avoiding death.
Matthew and Mark Robinson were walking to the convenience store from their apartment in Kissimmee when a Lynx bus made a left turn and collided with the two boys, Mark clung onto the bike rack attached to the front of the bus and then crawled out from underneath the bus when it halted but Matthew was crushed by the back tire and succumbed to injuries.
The driver, Fernando Vega, is no stranger to accidents. This was his 8th accident and reportedly his 7th avoidable one. The state of Florida has owned up and taken responsibility, they have already paid the Robinson’s a sum of $200,000 which is the maximum amount a government can pay on its own according to the sovereign laws in Florida. According to accident attorneys, Lynx have agreed to pay a total of $3.2 million dollars and have even set aside the amount from their budget but before this is possible the Florida legislature has to pass what is known as a claim bill.
Vega should be fired and so should whomever did not fire him from before.
